Glossybox October review ...
I was so excited to receive this Glossybox beauty box this month!!
Beauty box subscription services are big business now a days, it's a fantastic idea if you're a makeup and skincare addict like me, for a small price you can try a pre selected pick and mix of beauty products. A great way to be introduced to new products without spending a fortune. Also a lovely treat to yourself each month!
Glossybox is one of the original monthly subscription beauty services, they often create collaboration boxes and offer special limited addition boxes alongside their monthly subscription boxes.
For £10 a month you can have a pretty box full of beauty treats delivered right to your door.
Beautifully packaged, this months box was created in collaboration with blogger Estée Lalonde. My box came with 6 new products -
• Nuxe - huile prodigieuse multi use oil (50ml is £19)
I was so pleased the minute I spotted the Nuxe oil, an old favourite of mine from my modelling days, I adore this gorgeously scented, multi purpose oil, and great to have it in this cute travel size. Can be used on skin or hair.
• Bee Good - facial exfoliation scrub rrp £10
I'm a massive believer in exfoliation being key to great skin so can't wait to try the Bee Good honey and camelina facial exfoliant. Made in Britain by British bee's too, bonus.
• Mystery shampoo - a great idea, this shampoo comes unbranded encouraging you to try the product without any pre conceptions. This particular product will be revealed on Estee's blog. I'm yet to try it.
• PS Pro - make up primer rrp £5
I have to admit I am a bit of a snob when it comes to my make up base, there are some things I think are worth investing in. I will give the PS Pro primer a go, but I'm not sure Primark would be my go to choice for skincare.
• Universal Beauty - Secret Flush rrp £15
I love this cream blush & lip tint! A really lovely product, the colour gives a natural flush to the cheeks, with a really nice dewy finish. My top pick from the box.
• Trifle cosmetics - Exotic fruits lip parfait rrp £12.95
This lipstick plus lip treatment, infused with cocoa butter feels lovely and moisturising, the shade is a very pale peachy pink, probably a bit lighter shade than I'd normally choose. Trifle are 100% cruelty free too.
Everyday makeup look using the UB secret flush & Trifle lip parfait -
All in all I'm really impressed with my Glossybox beauty haul. Good sized products, a well rounded range of skin, body, hair and make up products to try. If I'm honest I'd prefer to see some more luxury brands from a beauty box. But great value for a really good selection of beauty goodies.
