Hi.

Welcome to my pinderpix lifestyle blog! I'll be sharing with you some of my favourite things and Top Pix, be it beauty, make up, fashion, food, travel or a bit of culture! Have look around, hope you enjoy the blog ...

Christmas is in full swing in the pinderpix household after the addition of our (very modestly sized) Christmas tree.

In past years we've had an artificial tree but we're in a new house and decided on a potted, real tree this year and I must say I love my teeny, living little tree!

The Good Life Farm Shop & Cafe in Winchester seemed like a good place to go Christmas tree shopping - plus it meant we could visit their lovely cafe for a hearty lunch. Always a bonus! (Especially while nursing a tiny, weeny bit of a Christmas party hangover ... 😳).

And what a choice, 10 ft plus tree's, tall and lean, big and bushy, short and fat, there were plenty to choose from! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and a modest, 4 ft, rather spindley little character caught our eye and came home with us - after a very yummy lunch in the cafe.

The Good Life also has a fantastic gift shop with some great gift ideas - I bought a divine smelling orange and clove candle as a gift ... but have ended up burning it at home! 🙈 Whoops!

They also had a lovely range of wreaths and Christmas decorations there this month.

The joy of a small tree meant a few lights, a couple of baubles and voila! Decorated!

Prior to the tree going up, I'd already put some eucalyptus and fairy lights around the living room to cosy it up. I bought some micro lights for £3.99 from www.lights4fun.co.uk and one of their £12.99 glass domes and painted the base with some charcoal grey chalk paint, pooped the fairy lights in to make a festive, decorative ornament for the fire place.

I've also popped a few Moroccan orb lights around the base of the fireplace, because you can never have too many fairy lights right?? At Christmas anyway!

It's so cosy coming home from a wintery walk 🤗 We had a mammoth one on after putting the tree up, the warmer weather meant mud was most definitely caked on both dog and wellies in equal measure - here's hoping the temperature drops back down to the minuses by the Christmas weekend ...

I had my first festive party on Friday, my acting agency I.A.M. hosted a fantastic evening at L'escargot in Soho. It's on a rare occassion that I wear a dress - something I should probably do more of 🤔 - and I found this beauty in Zara, I usually don't stray from black but I loved this deep dark green guipure dress ...

I paired it with ankle boots and black tights - I didn't take any pictures of me wearing it full length 🙈 but on the upside I will definitely wear it again.

Saturday evening was spent with my best girls celebrating my friend Abbi's birthday in Winchester, a scrumptious Chinese meal and a couple of beers and few cocktails were consumed ...

A visit to Winchester on Sunday for some last Christmas present purchasing, the Hambledon is possibly my favourite shop in the universe for buying gifts, something for everyone in there. Tea and cake (because Sunday is not Sunday without cake) and a roast dinner rounded the lazy weekend off perfectly.

I want everything!

So I'm loving December - apart from the bombardment of vomitsome fragrance adverts on the telly, who writes these 😳 - I love the buildup to Christmas, not to mention MY BIRTHDAY 😜 I'm like an over enthusiastic, rather large, child. But I'm also very aware that I kind of hate January, major Christmas blues. Is it bad that I'm already thinking about New Year holiday destinations ...?
