Gypsy tops and folk dresses ...
My current obsession - embroidered gypsy / folk tops and dresses. Gypsy tops are the perfect item for these balmy summer months and can be easily layered up to wear during the autumn too.
Paired with your favourite pair of skinny jeans they create an effortlessly stylish look - and I'm big on the effortless!
This style flatters all sizes, and on a hot and humid day if you or in this changeable weather, a cool but sleeved gypsy top is a great choice between seasons.
Mango and Zara have so many lovely folk inspired pieces this season.
My absolute favourite recent purchase is this lush folk dress from Zara. Now I realise that this dress was probably designed with someone far taller and skinnier than me in mind but I don't care! I love it.
The colour and embroidery is right up my street. I'm massively into pieces that are inspired by Ukrainian vyshyvanka folk garments.
This Zara dress is very similar to the designer Vita Kin dresses, one of these would set you back an eye watering £1,000 so with Zara's offering at £59.99 it's a fraction of the price and who doesn't love a bargain ...

A deep ink colour with a pop of red and white embroidery, this dress would look great dressed up with ankle boots and a pop of red lipstick or easily as chic with a pair of white trainers.
