No fuss baked figs & mascarpone ...
This recipe is SO easy and SO delicious!! I've always liked the idea of making baked figs but thought it might be a bit of a faff. It is infact one of the quickest, easiest desert recipes. Minimum effort, maximum impact! These warm, spiced, caramelised figs go perfectly with a generous dollop of cold, creamy mascarpone.
2 tbsp dark clear honey
2 tbsp Brown sugar
2 tbsp Butter
2 tsp Cinnamon
Pre heat a fan oven to 180 degrees.
Slice each fig in half. Place cut side up in a baking tray (I recommend placing tin foil in the tray).
Drizzle over the honey, sprinkle over the sugar and cinnamon.
Place some butter on each individual fig.
Put in the oven for 15 minutes.
Serve with a scoop of mascarpone & drizzle over the syrup from the baking tray.
Voilà! So easy and absolutely delicious.
