Weekend round up ...
Well hello Autumn! Spent a beautiful weekend in Winchester, the trees are turning brown, the air is feeling crisper and my wellies have had their first outing of the year.
After our wonderful, uncharacteristically hot British Summer, I'm loving this cosier time of year. I'm ready to dig out my oversized jumpers, scarves, boots and slippers!
After a morning decorating and baking birthday cake, I spent Saturday evening celebrating one of my best girlfriends birthdays, a divine dinner in River Cottage followed by one, or two ... or ... well, a few cocktails and lots of laughs with some of my most favourite ladies.
Sunday was spent getting up late and having a very leisurely wander around Winchesters pretty, historical town.
It's a great place to visit, parking is terrible though, be prepared to be patient if visiting by car at the weekend!
Popped into Space NK and showed massive restraint, I want everything in there!
I'm a firm believer in Sunday being all about indulging, so a big slice of lemon and blueberry cake in Cafe Winchester in St Thomas street was devoured without a hint of guilt ;)
Long dog walks in Hampshire are great for the body, mind and soul this time of year and the South Downs are truly breathtaking.
So, I'm making the most of these last few Sunday hours vegging in front of Sunday night telly and recharging for a busy week ahead ... Why do weekends always go too fast??
